MAURO COBELLI
(Head of Legal & Corporate Affairs and a member of the Supervisory Board of Veronafiere SpA)
Born in Verona, a lawyer, he is currently Head of Legal & Corporate Affairs and a member of the Supervisory Board of Veronafiere SpA (formerly the Autonomous Entity for the Fairs of Verona), with which he has collaborated since 1994. Over the years, he has held administrative roles in various companies within the group.
He earned the Level 3 Diploma from the Italian Sommelier Association and participated in several Master Classes on Italian wine.
He served as the legal officer for the Vinitaly International Wine Competition until 2015. Since 2016, he has been responsible for the new initiative 5 Star Wines – The Book (the official guide resulting from a blind tasting conducted by an international jury) and, since 2016, for the International Packaging Competition, which in 2024 was rebranded as the Vinitaly Design Award.
Over the years, thanks to his corporate role and hands-on experience, he has developed extensive expertise in wine tasting, promotion, and the evaluation of design applied to wine, beer, and spirits in general.
