People create wines. Wines define a territory. Different producers, different grape varieties, different terroirs come together to talk about the wine excellence of a single territory: Sardinia.
An ambitious project and a shared vision to tell the story of Sardinia through its wine excellences made of people, wines, and territories and united by a single ideal: to increase the recognizability on international markets of Sardinian wines as an expression of terroirs capable of being an expression of a wine culture of great tradition and quality.
The SARDINIA TERROIRS cluster brings together different producers, grape varieties, and terroirs in a single project. The goal is to tell the story of the uniqueness of Sardinian wines, the people who produce them, and the territories from which they originate. Eight wineries representing as many territories highly vocated to the cultivation of the major indigenous Sardinian grape varieties: Logudoro with Vermentino di Sardegna, Oristanese with Bovale, Mandrolisai with the Cannonau-Bovale-Monica blend, Gallura with Vermentino di Gallura, Nuorese and Ogliastra with Cannonau, Cagliari with Nuragus and Sulcis with Carignano. An oenological universe that finds its trait d’union in the common identity of these wineries: the artisanal but highly professional and identity-driven style of the wines, the internationally recognized quality, and the daily dedication to work and wine production.
THE SARDINIA OF WINE
A unique island, a land geologically among the oldest in the Mediterranean, a territory composed of different microclimates and terroirs, and a very ancient and valuable oenological heritage. Sardinia can be described as the Island of Wine, or rather of wines because it is home to unique grape varieties that cannot be found elsewhere and that passion, the hand of man, and oenological culture have been able to
transformed into wines of excellence.
