Sicilia DOC - Native varieties in a sustainable territory

Description

How to participate: PRIVATE EVENT

While Sicilia DOC producers grow an array of quality grapes, they all have a few things in common. They make fresh, vibrant, and sustainable wine.

Today, sustainability should be considered as the ability to take responsibility for preventing the disappearance of man from the world. To achieve this goal we need to:

• measure
• evaluate
• share

Sustainability must always be contextualized because to define what is impactful we should consider the geographical, historical, cultural, and institutional characteristics of a territory and the interactions among agents that characterize the whole society.

This leads to the enhancement of the characteristics and potentials of individual territories and in the shift from the conception of development as GDP growth to the idea of local well-being of individuals, social groups, and communities.
