Taste the Rainbow: the wild world of Rifermentati from the heart of Italy

During this masterclass Max and Jeff will re-open the door to the world of “rifermentati”. A wine forgotten by many due to mass industrialization but revived by an intrepid group of producers who look to the past to bring us to the future. Via a rainbow of vini frizzanti, Max and Jeff will explore the past, present and future of the wines made via “rifermentazione” and discuss the misconceptions of these wines and why, especially today, vini rifermentati are wines of the moment. The tasting will be focused on wines from in and around Modena, as that is one of the historic homes of rifermentato, and from there will discuss how this family of grapes and wines are inspiring others from across Italy to explore the beauty, deliciousness and excitement of vini rifermentati.
