Some of Italy’s most famous wines share the peculiarity of their names starting with the letter “B”. Barbaresco, Barolo, Brunello di Montalcino, Bolgheri and the Supertuscans are among Italy’s most famous and best-known wines internationally. Wines that are sought after by collectors, wine lovers, importers and starred restaurants everywhere. And that cannot surprise, given that, for example, a hectare of a prestigious Barolo cru can sell for as much as four to five million Euros, that Montalcino has attracted considerable noteworthy investments from abroad and wineries there now boast owners of many different nationalities (Brazilian, German, Swiss, to name a few), that a specific vintage of a Bolgheri wine can fetch even four thousand euros a bottle.

In this tasting led by award-winning wine book author Ian D’Agata, recently named “Best Italian wine critic 2024”, some of the most famous estates of each territory will be on hand to tell you about their much-acclaimed, unique wines.
