For several years now, the Italian wine industry has been facing a series of unprecedented challenges that put a strain on the competitiveness of the sector's businesses. From changes in wine consumption to the impact of climate change, from the increasing pressure exerted by foreign producers to the emergence of new players in the distribution system, Italian wineries have found themselves confronted in an ever-changing economic environment. Alongside these external pressures, companies have had to deal with an increasingly complex regulatory framework, stemming from the demands expressed by society as well as by European legislators: from the increasing focus on sustainability to the protection of consumer health.
To meet these challenges, companies have had to reorganize their production processes, review business strategies and, above all, develop new skills by identifying professional profiles capable of dealing with these changes. Within this scenario, going contextually to identify-through the voice of companies and workers connected to the wine sector-the constraints and obstacles that insist on the adoption of the same training paths.
