Ernest Melani

He is a distinguished Albanian enologist and sommelier known for his significant contributions to the country's wine industry. He has played a pivotal role in organizing national sommelier competitions, such as the "Sommelieri më i mirë Shqiptar" in 2015, where he served as a jury member and was awarded the bronze medal. In 2019, Melani led the panel for the Kallmeti Prestige wine tasting competition during the same event, further cementing his influence in promoting Albanian wines. He is part of the Enologic Group, a group of 3 Italian oenologists, 2 of whom are professors with over 45 years of experience in the Marche area, and 2 Albanian oenologists. This group has been providing specialized technical consultancy to some of the most renowned Albanian wineries since 2009.

Dashamir Elezi

He is a renowned Albanian sommelier and president of the Albanian Sommeliers Association. He has played a key role in the entire wine culture in Albania. In 2019, he served as technical director in the competition for the Best Sommeliers of Albania, which was attended by international representatives such as the former President of ASI, Giuseppe Vaccarini, and the Vice President of ASI for Europe, William Wouters.

Luca Gardini

He born in 1981, is a renowned Italian wine critic and former world champion sommelier. He began his career at the esteemed Enoteca Pinchiorri and later collaborated for nearly eight years with chef Carlo Cracco at the two-Michelin-starred restaurant Cracco.

In 2011, Gardini transitioned to wine communication, establishing himself as a leading international palate and becoming the first Italian critic featured on Wine-Searcher, the world's largest wine database. He publishes in-depth tasting notes and rankings on his platform, GardiniNotes.com, and has contributed to various publications, including a weekly column in La Gazzetta dello Sport since 2012. In 2022, he was honored as the "Best Italy Wine Critic of the World" by Tastingbook.com, placing him among esteemed critics like Jeb Dunnuck and Jancis Robinson.

Ili Gërdupi

Mr. Gërdupi is trained Sommelier from the Albanian Sommelier Organisation since 2021. In 2024 he was elected as Borad member of the ASO from 2024 from a broad majority of its members. Ili is the owner of “El Camino”, a small wine shop in Tirana, and is actively engaged in the wine industry both locally and abroad.

Fabio Signorini

The well-known winemaker Fabio Signorini originally from Montespertoli, prefecture of Florence Italy. He joins the team of the Albanian winery "FABA", now known internationally, for many, many gold medals. With an experience of almost 50 years in the field of winemaking and viticulture, Fabio has been part of the Faba winery for almost 25 years since 2000. Fabio Signorini is known as an excellent expert in the field of winemaking and manages under his direct supervision over 50 wineries, which export millions of bottles of wine all over the world. Such as Colli Fiorentini winery, Colli winery, Poggio Rubino, Poggio del Aqulia, Corte dei Venti, Poggio Caponi, etc. Fabio, in addition to winemaking and viticulture, his special passion is the sommelier where he organizes numerous courses in the city of Florence.

  1. Arianiti Winery: Known for its ARYA 2022, a pure 100% Shesh i Zi red wine, crafted with precision to reflect the authentic Albanian character.
  2. Belba Winery: Presenting Papaz 2018, an elegant blend of Cabernet, Merlot, and Kabjuro, in the Golemas region. It is perfected (aged) for 24 months in French oak barrels and has a 15% alcohol volume.
  3. Çobo Winery: Shendevere a sparkling wine made from the centuries-old white grape variety Puls. The wine undergoes a secondary fermentation in the bottle for 18-24 months, resulting in a joyful and magical experience that the Albanian term "shendevere" aptly describes.
  4. Enofama Winery: Featuring Shesh i Bardhe 2024, a fresh and floral dry white wine made from the indigenous Shesh i Bardhe grape, perfect for seafood or vegetable dishes.
  5. Faba Winery: Offering Rosso Albanese 2021, a bold blend of Black Square and Vlosh, native Albanian varieties, delivering rich fruity flavors perfect for red meats and mature cheeses.
