One island, one world: Sicilia Doc wines
Description
The masterclass on Sicilia DOC will focus on five indigenous grape varieties present in the appellation, namely: the two flagship varieties of Sicilia DOC, Grillo and Nero d’Avola; Lucido, another white grape, in addition to Grillo, which is the most widespread variety in Sicily (covering over 30,000 hectares); and two exceptional red varieties, besides Nero d’Avola, Perricone and Frappato, which are gaining popularity among wine enthusiasts. The common thread of the tasting is the broad representation of the appellation: Sicilia DOC is not only wine and not just an island, but a heritage of quality wines produced in a naturally sustainable territory. During this tasting, oenologist Dr. Giuseppe Figlioli will guide participants on a journey that begins with a glass and leads them far beyond.
