The workshop "The Value of Training: Its Impact on the Competitiveness of Wine Businesses", organized by Foragri as part of Vinitaly 2025, aims to provide participants with an in-depth discussion on the strategic role of training in the Italian wine sector and its economic value in terms of increased productivity and competitiveness.

Scheduled for April 8 in Verona, the event will bring together industry experts and key stakeholders.

The session will be opened by Vincenzo Conso, President of Foragri, who will outline the organization’s vision of training as a strategic lever. This will be followed by an address from Denis Pantini, Head of Agrifood and Wine Monitor at Nomisma, presenting an in-depth analysis of how training strengthens the competitiveness of Italian wine businesses.

Natale Forlani, President of INAPP, will illustrate the findings of the INAPP 2024 Report, highlighting the role of training in bridging the gap between labor supply and demand. The session will also feature first-hand testimonials, where businesses and workers, via video links, will share their experiences with funded training programs, showcasing best practices and tangible results.

A key moment of the event will be the roundtable discussion "Building a Renewed Culture of Agrifood Training: The Commitment of Institutions and Social Partners." This session, moderated by Lorenzo Andreotti, journalist at L'Informatore Agrario, will feature representatives from employers, workers, regional authorities, and the Ministry, fostering a constructive dialogue.

The seminar’s objective is to raise broad awareness of the importance of investment in training within the wine sector, pursued through three key approaches:

  • Nomisma Wine Monitor research, providing data-driven insights into training’s impact on productivity;
  • Real-world case studies, with tangible success stories from the field;
  • The institutional roundtable, aimed at creating a shared commitment between institutions and social partners.

This seminar represents a valuable opportunity for in-depth exploration, where practical experience, data analysis, and institutional dialogue converge to shape concrete strategies for developing human capital in Italian viticulture.
