Andrea Gori grew up in a family of Florentine restaurateurs (Trattoria da Burde, voted Best Trattoria in Italy in 2023 and 2024). He has a degree in Molecular Biology and has managed to combine his passion for wine with technology, becoming one of the twenty most influential figures in the world in the wine sector online.
A pioneer as a podcaster (his first podcast episode dates back to 2005) and Italian wine YouTuber (his channel, opened in 2007, has now more than 4 million views), he has tried to revolutionize online food and wine communication through various blogs and digital platforms, founding Dissapore and Intravino, with which he continues to collaborate. He wears many hats: sommelier, host, journalist, writer, and digital innovation consultant. He collaborates with print publications such as Business People and Postalmarket, and teaches at prestigious institutions (IULM Milan, Gambero Rosso Academy, MIB Trieste, Cambium Formazione), focusing on social communication and digital marketing in the wine sector.
Andrea has received important awards, including the title of Best Sommelier in Tuscany 2006, European Vice Champion Sommelier 2008, and Ambassadeur du Champagne for Italy 2011. He is the author of the successful series of Wine Conversation Manuals by TrentaEditore, with volumes on Champagne, Red Wines, White Wines, Rosé Wines, and slow smoking. He is the founder and organizer of the monthly mini-festival “God Save The Wine,” now in its 187th edition.
