In many parts of Asia, women have attained higher educational qualifications than men. With a significant level of disposable income, women in East Asia have emerged as an exciting category of potential wine buyers. Marked by their sophistication and fine palate, these female drinkers often have different wine preferences compared to their male counterparts. Do they prefer white wines over red? Do they care about the stories and background of the winemakers? Are they also big collectors and perceive wine as an investment? The buying potential of females in East Asia is too big to be overlooked. VIA Italian Wine Ambassador Alice Wong will guide us to learn more about the consumption patterns of the new players in Asia.
