Marius Odland

Marius Odland started his wine career 15 years ago as a publisher of lifestyle magazines, featuring wine reviews and wine travel reports. In 2009, he founded what is now one of the most important wine magazines in Norway, called Vin&Brennevin (Wine&Spirits magazine). In 2016 he decided to enter the import business, where he became the Portfolio Manager of Nordic Wine, Beer & Spirits in 2017, building and developing the company from being a small wine importer to becoming a medium-sized importer, twice the turnover.

This session will analyze different aspects of the Norwegian wine consumer: the development of sales over the last few years in figures, focus on the consumer, and the Monopoly. It will also give an overview of the Monopoly: how the negotiations with the importers work, how they work with HORECA, and how producers work with the importers.
