Speaker - Claudio Povero
Claudio Povero

Claudio Povero is a Trade Analyst at the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) in London. He is passionate about Italian wine and the “Made in Italy” ethos. At ITA he plays a key role in promoting Italian wines and spirits in the UK and the Republic of Ireland and strengthening the presence of Italian producers in these markets.

Since January 2020, Claudio has organized various events and initiatives including the London and Dublin editions of Borsa Vini and the Italian pavilions at Imbibe. As an adviser on the Brexit desk, he helped Italian producers in dealing with Brexit regulations and adapting to new ways of doing business with the UK.

Claudio’s diverse career also includes importing and marketing wine to the UK and finding opportunities for Italian wineries in part of the Scandinavian market. He also gained valuable experience at Christie’s Auction House working in their Fine and Rare Wine & Spirits department in London.

His journey in the UK began in 2013 when he moved to London from Italy to work as a senior sommelier, initially at Novikov, and later at Michelin-starred restaurant Maze and the Savoy Grill, both part of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants.

Joanna Dabrowska is a seasoned data scientist, strategic leader, and consultant with extensive experience in leveraging artificial intelligence to transform industries, including the wine sector. Currently leading pioneering initiatives at Wine World Wonders, Joanna focuses on integrating AI technologies to revolutionise wine production, supply chain management, and marketing strategies through data-driven insights.

Before founding Wine World Wonders, Joanna refined her expertise at Amazon Web Services and Canon Europe, where she led major digital transformation projects, implementing AI solutions that significantly enhanced operational efficiency and innovation. Her leadership roles at PwC and Deloitte strategy consulting further deepened her understanding of strategic implementation across diverse sectors, providing a strong foundation for her current focus on the wine industry.

Joanna holds a Master of Science degree in Business & Economics from the University of Marie Curie-Sklodowska and a diploma in Machine Learning from Stanford University. She
holds WSET level 3 qualifications and is currently preparing for her next studies with the aim of obtaining a Master of Wine title in the near future. She is recognized for her ability to blend cutting-edge technology with traditional practices, positioning her at the forefront of agricultural technology.
