Maurizio Danese

Maurizio Danese was born in 1962 and founded his first company, the Center Catering Spa in 1987. Over the next several years he gained important experience in the food&wine sector across Veneto and Emilia Romagna. Today he is vice president of Pregis Spa, a leading company in the food service sector, specializing in the supply of food products to the HORECA channel. Danese shares his expertise with many professional associations: since 2004 he has been the Vice President of Confcommercio Verona; since 2012 he has been a member of the Territorial Committee of Banco Popolare; from 2010 to 2015 he was President of the Confidi Veneto-Cooperative of the collective guarantee Fidi; from 2003 to 2019 he was a member of the board and council of the Verona Chamber of Commerce where, from 2014-2015, he also held the position of Vice President. From 2009 to 2014, Danese presided over Verona Innovazione, a special company within the Verona Chamber of Commerce. In October 2015 he became President of Veronafiere and is one of the main architects of its transformation from an institution to a joint-stock company, which took place in 2016. In July 2020, he was appointed President of Aefi, the Italian Exhibitors and Exhibitions Association, after having held the position of Vice President in the previous two years. After completing his second term as President of Veronafiere Spa, he became its CEO in June 2022.
